DISCOVER OUR BEAUTY

The beautiful Plaisir Wine Estate is situated at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain between Paarl and Franschhoek. The wines produced here are inspired by the harmony of a rich history, the fertile soil and lush vineyards. Our quest in making exceptional wines would have found favour with Huguenot founder, Charles Marais.

Visit the Estate

The legacy of the Marais family and 400 year wine-making history continues to live on at the estate. Set amongst manicured lawns and ancient oak trees, Plaisir Wine Estate offers an exquisite setting for tastings, cellar tours, private functions and weddings.

This is a fruit- dominated wine with blackberries, cassis, white chocolate followed by some cigar box and light pencil shavings. Subtle tannins linger with sweet red berry fruit on the finish. Very versatile, this wine is made for hearty food and would best complement all red meat or mushroom dishes.
PLAISIR SAUVIGNON BLANC

An elegantly textured wine with flavours that resonate the aromas of a cool summers day, filled out with fresh tropical fruits and a crisp finish.
